Owens Corning, one of the leading roofing manufacturers in North America, has recently announced an expansion of their successful partnership with Habitat for Humanity, where both roofer and volunteer join forces to lend a hand in installing roofs for military veterans nationwide, as part of the Roof Deployment Project.

Roof Deployment Project
When troops are called away from home, the families they leave behind deal with a lot of stress, and in many cases, simple routine tasks like home repairs tend to get neglected. Everyone deserves a decent roof to live under, especially those who are risking their lives and making a lot of sacrifices for others’ freedom, which is what led Owens Corning to launch the Roof Deployment Project in 2016.
With the help of Owens Corning’s network of Platinum Contractors and Habitat for Humanity, recipient veterans are identified and awarded brand-new roofs. A local Owens Corning certified roofing company and local Habitat for Humanity volunteers provide the manpower, using roofing materials provided by Owens Corning. The Roof Deployment Project has been successful so far, having installed 23 roofs for military families across 14 states. It’s our way of saying “thank you for your service”.
